Three years ago, Geetu lived in fear of being trafficked like other teen girls her age in the village where she lived in Nepal. Some of her friends were sold into slavery by their families or tricked by traffickers, never to be seen or heard from again. “Will my fate be the same?” she would often ask herself. Then one day, Geetu heard about She Is Safe’s vocational training. She eagerly signed up, hoping to change her life. Through the training, Geetu was able to develop seamstress skills in a loving, supportive environment — all the while learning of Jesus’ love for her.

After a short time, Geetu was able to start her own business and generate income. Today, Geetu is able to provide for herself and her family — no longer vulnerable to being preyed upon by traffickers. She is confident her business will grow, providing even more opportunities for her future.
