Worldwide nearly 1 in 4 girls aged 15-19 is neither educated or employed, compared to 1 in 10 boys of the same age. 435 million women and girls live on less than $1.90 a day, including 47 million who have been pushed into poverty as a result of COVID-19 (UN). These dire circumstances leave girls especially vulnerable to sex trafficking and abuse. That is why She Is Safe invites you to join us in raising awareness about the injustices girls endure and what you can do to bring them freedom and new life on International Day of the Girl October 11.

Take action on October 11 by

  • Using your social media platforms to raise awareness of the issues girls face around the world, and how She Is Safe works to make them safe, free and equipped
  • Spending time in prayer for girls who are suffering, enslaved or at risk of exploitation
  • Learning more about She Is Safe’s work in the hardest places in the world to be a girl (sheissafe.org/work/), and advocating for this work in your circles

Thank you for honoring girls with us on this important day!
