Being a girl is a big risk. Join the life-changing work of She Is Safe and help prevent, rescue, and restore the lives of women and girls most at risk of being abused and sold. You can equip them to live in freedom and dignity.

What Vulnerabilities are Common Factors in People Being Trafficked?
Extreme Instability
People displaced or disrupted by natural disasters, violence, or political upheaval are left in a high-risk scenario that attracts traffickers.
Cultural Norms
Girls are discriminated against, undervalued and viewed as property. Girls are often forced to be child-brides for much older men or “married” for a few hours before being discarded.
Economic Shock
For families living in extreme poverty, an economic shock (like the loss of a job, illness, disability, debt) increases vulnerability to exploitation and trafficking.
No Parental Support
Street children and orphaned children are particularly vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation as they have no parental support and lack access to education.
How You Can Help

BRING FREEDOM
We work with indigenous leaders to prevent trafficking and rescue and restore the lives of girls who are abused and sold. Through holistic programs of education, income-generating skills, trauma counseling, and spiritual growth, girls experience healing and are equipped to build new lives.

SUPPORT EDUCATION
Studies show that a girl will reinvest 90% of her future income in her family. In many communities, daughters are still viewed as less valuable than sons. Supporting a girl’s education and equipping her with job skills helps her reach her God-given potential and safeguards her from exploitation.

CREATE LASTING CHANGE
Investing in the future of one girl doesn’t just change her individual life, it changes her family and community. Extended family and neighbors can see the difference and seek the same opportunities for their daughters. Over time, the change becomes community-wide, and it becomes less normalized to abuse and sell girls. Our programs have contributed to a reported 85% decrease in the sale of girls in communities where, previously, ever girls over the age of 12 was sold.
