Dear Friend,
Compassionate people like you helped change 100,502 lives this year! In a world full of darkness, you are bringing the light. In the face of evil, you are standing in the gap to protect those who need it most. Thank you for your heart to face human trafficking with the light of Christ.
As we celebrate God’s incredible faithfulness over 23 years of ministry, I’m so grateful for partners like you who are actively creating a future where every girl is free to live a life of dignity and purpose.
Did you know the flame from one candle can be seen for more than a mile? Imagine how far the light of one life pierces the darkness.
One girl saved means the future is changed forever. Not only for her, but the future of her family, and children, and grandchildren. Friends like you are changing the trajectory of generations by stopping the cycle of slavery. We are celebrating every single one of these miracles!
Still, there is much work to do and many lives to be saved.
The most extraordinary new chapter is just beginning! God is opening wide new doors—particularly in the Middle East and South Asia—to reach more women and girls trapped in slavery and bring freedom and restoration to places where it’s needed most. I hope you’ll prayerfully consider coming into this new chapter in an even deeper way to protect, free, and equip the next generation to break the cycle of slavery.
Every day, you are embodying the love of Jesus to women and girls facing slavery.
Thank you for disrupting the darkness,

She Is Safe envisions a future where every at-risk girl is safe, free, and equipped to be the person God created her to be. We do this through our programs of prevention, rescue, and restoration.
Elina* is 16 and lives in a deeply impoverished area of rural Nepal. Her family struggled to survive, and Elina dreamed of a better future.
When a young man named Jeevan* started messaging her on Facebook, promising her marriage and a steady income, she saw a way out of poverty. Without telling her parents, Elina met up with this man to travel across the border into India—along a well-known human trafficking route where thousands of girls are taken every year, sold into sex slavery, labor or organ trafficking.
Many traffickers use online platforms to identify and exploit girls like Elina who are in desperate circumstances. But thanks to your generous support and the vigilance of She Is Safe’s local team, Elina’s story took a different turn.
At the border, our local coworkers noticed warning signs of how young Elina was and how the man she was with did not let her speak. Jeevan claimed to be her brother. But we could tell something was not right.
After separating Elina from him and gently discussing the risks of human trafficking, she shared what had happened and how she met Jeevan online. Her parents did not know where she was or who she was with. We immediately contacted her mother, who rushed to bring her daughter home.
It is friends like you who make border rescues possible; Elina’s story is one of restoration—not tragedy. Instead of a lifetime of abuse in a brothel as a domestic slave, or worse, she is safely back with her family and better equipped to protect herself from exploitation.

Juru* is a mother of four from South Sudan. When she was only fourteen years old, she was forced into a child marriage, a common form of human trafficking. According to UNICEF, South Sudan has one of the highest rates of child marriage in the world with more than half of girls being married before the age of 18.
Recently, we shared with Juru about the different forms of human trafficking. That is when Juru realized she had been trafficked as a child and told us her story.
Now she’s made a promise to herself: she will never allow her children or any other little girl in her community to be sold.
Thankfully, generous partners like you make a She Is Safe Group possible in her area. Juru is now an active member in a community of women who understand her experience because many of them were trafficked in the same way. Now Juru also was able to receive counseling to heal from her abuses.
Today, Juru is a leader in her community and encourages young women to advocate for themselves and others.
Women like Juru who were sold into marriages as children and now are being equipped to stop child trafficking in the community.
10+ million girls are locked away in child marriage every year. These survivors hold the keys to stopping the cycle of slavery at its source: raising the next generation of girls to be free and the next generation of boys to respect their inherent dignity and worth. With your help, women like Juru are creating a future where every girl can be free.

Melia* is a bright, passionate young girl with a deep love for learning. She grew up in a remote island village in Indonesia and wanted to study hard and build a good future for herself beyond the circumstances where she grew up.
Like many vulnerable girls, she was exploited by an online trafficker promising her a job at a hotel in the city. Instead of stable income, when she arrived, she became the victim of child sex trafficking.
Thankfully, she was rescued by the police and brought to our local team at a Restoration Home supported by compassionate people like you. At the Restoration Home, Melia is healing in a safe, loving environment, and learning practical skills to equip her to build a whole new life. As she comes to see the possibilities in Christ, she hopes to be reunited with her family one day.
Thank you for being the love of Jesus in such practical, life-changing ways for girls like Melia who have been rescued from trafficking. Now, she can heal and become the person God created her to be.

Tin Shwe* is a mother in Myanmar. In the high-risk community where she lives, there was never a place for women to speak or share openly. Women are expected to stay silent, stay behind, and stay home.
This is the reality for so many least-reached women and girls around the world. They remain vulnerable to all kinds of abuse and slavery because they dare not protest. But because of you, that is changing.
Tin Shwe’s family is struggling to survive in an extremely impoverished community fractured by an escalating civil war. Like many mothers, she was extremely isolated and felt invisible in a culture that consistently devalues women.
When generous friends like you made a She Is Safe Group possible in her area, Tin Shwe was overjoyed. For the first time, she felt like she was not alone. She found a strong, supportive group of women that prays with her, and they are being equipped with practical vocational training and leadership skills. For the first time, she sees herself as an image-bearer and a leader, influencing other women and girls toward freedom and joy.
“My She Is Safe Group has transformed my life. It has given me strength, vision, and dignity,” Tin Shwe shared. It has also deeply impacted her family and the future for her children. “Thank you to everyone who has helped us!”
For moms like Tin Shwe, your partnership is making a multi-generational difference for her, her family, and her community.
Hanan* is only 15 years old. Her family was forced to flee from war when she was very young, so she has spent most of her life as a refugee. Many girls are forced into child marriages in her community, but with your help, Hanan is forging a new path.
She’s part of the She Is Safe sewing program in her area and is learning the skills she needs to earn an income and have independence, which are key to protecting her from a child marriage.
“Through this program, I’ve started to feel what independence means. It’s the first time I’ve felt like I have something of my own—something no one can take away from me.” – Hanan
