This Mother’s Day, Double Your Gift!

How could she take care of her children? Anjali* was in a tough situation. The money her husband made was not enough to support their family with two young daughters, and he used much of the money for alcohol and tobacco. Anjali heard of a local She Is Safe Transformation Group in her village where women were learning skills, saving together and taking loans to start micro-businesses.

When she joined the group, Anjali received vocational skills training and learned to use those skills to produce income. She now knows how to make umbrellas, make bead and paper jewelry, and sew. Her small business provides enough income to take care of her family’s day-to-day needs.

She and her friends also prayed for her husband, who after seeing the positive change in Anjali’s life, gave up smoking and drinking. They have recently built a home and are repaying their loan. Anjali’s daughters have a stable and loving home life now, with a brighter future than they could have ever imagined.

Anjali and thousands of other women and girls have been equipped through our Christ-centered education and economic empowerment work. This Mother’s Day, you can double your help for our work by participating in a new matching opportunity for our Forgotten Girls Fund.

The Forgotten Girls Fund will fuel She Is Safe in growing our reach this year. This annual fund provides for us to have the support, staff and materials necessary in the work to prevent, rescue and restore more women and girls from suffering abuse and slavery.

Whatever amount you can give, the Matching Grant will double it, up to $50,000. So right now you can give twice as much as you thought possible. Please consider helping us make the most of this generous matching opportunity.

To get started, please:

  • Visit the Donate page
  • Go to “Gift Designation” and click “Forgotten Girls Fund”
  • Share this opportunity with your friends and family

Thank you for your continued partnership in this work and for your heart’s desire to bring more women and girls to new life.
